Tony Robbins is the most successful life coach of our time. At the age of 58, he is able to lead multi day events that typically will go non stop for over 16 hours per day. He attributes much of his ability to always stay so “Up” to his morning ritual. He starts with a breathing excercise and then moves to three and a half minutes of pure gratitude where he selects three things that he is grateful for. One must be simple, such as the wind on his face or his kids smile. He always begins the day with gratitude because of its ability to overpower the dangerous emotions that can sidetrack us such as fear and anger.
It is impossible to thank or praise God too much. When we thank God for our many blessings, we affirm that he is the one from whom all blessings flow. When adversity strikes and we thank him anyways, we express trust in his sovereignty. I encourage you to start your day and fill up your spare moments with gratitude and see how it changes your perspective throughout the day.
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
